What the executive briefing covers
The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will release its fifth assessment report in September 2013.
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science and the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society will co-host a briefing for senior executives on the key physical scientific findings of the report.
Professor Andy Pitman – Director of the Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science and AR5 IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) Chapter Review Editor – will present a one-hour high-level breakfast meeting overview for CEOs, Directors, and other senior executives.
This will address the report’s key “need to know” contents:
The second part of the day will be a more in-depth workshop for managers and strategists. It will be presented by an assembly of topic experts from the University community, CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology. Topics to be covered include:
